SOUTHEND BOROUGH COUNCIL can help you. The Occupational Therapy Team (01702 215008), will need to make a professional assessment of the needs of a householder. Grants toward major adaptions, for example stairlifts, level access showers and other alterations/extensions will be subject to a financial means test to access what contribution a householder may have to make towards the cost of work.
