Clubs AVRO Centre by Southend Airport. Thursday evenings £2.00 (It's called the Disabled Club - although you don't have to be disabled!) all welcome. Southend Talking Newspaper is a free, weekly audio record of local news for blind and partially sighted people who are unable to read a newspaper.  Each week our volunteers read and record about one hour of local  news stories, taken from the Evening Echo, Standard Recorder, Leigh and Southend Times, Yellow Advertiser and elsewhere.  The news is recorded on CDs and posted out to our listeners every Friday.
