 The services below provide a pendant alarm. A central monitoring station will be alerted in an emergency. Normally you will need two or three friends, relatives or neighbours who can be contacted if you need help. These should be people who live within easy travelling distance.

Southend Borough Council Careline is operated by the Council for the benefit of people throughout the Southend area.  It is an invaluable service for older people and those with disabilities who wish to continue living an independent lifestyle.  You can choose to rent a Careline unit or own a Careline unit. MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE

Message in a bottle for peace of mind. This bottle scheme can be obtained from Southend Library, police stations and local neighbourhood watch schemes. The plastic bottle holds details of a person's medical history, next of kin, and their GP. Easily located, by phone or bed.
