Who can get help from Age Concern Southend?
Our services are available for all over 60’s in the Southend, Leigh on Sea, Westcliff and Shoeburyness areas as well as their carers, friends and family. Some of our services are open to over 50’s such as Club 50+.
Are Age Concern Southend part of Age UK?
Age Concern Southend are entirely independent from any national charities or organisations. We are a small, stand alone charity dedicated to helping our local community.
Do I need to pay for Age Concern Southend’s services?
Most of our services are free although there is a small charge for attendance at our community clubs and for our community transport service to help us cover our costs.

How do I refer someone to Age Concern Southend?

Here at Age Concern Southend almost every penny donated goes directly towards offering our services and support. Can I do my work experience with Age Concern Southend?
Currently we only accept volunteers over the age of 16 due to our work with vunerable people. If you are over 16 please get in touch with our team on 01702 345373 or email us on email@example.com and we will see if we have a suitable position for you.

Are Age Concern Southend’s community clubs disability and dementia friendly?
Yes they are. All our venues have disabled access and bathroom facilities and all our staff and most of our volunteers have undertaken dementia friends training to help make all older people’s time at our clubs as enjoyable as possible.
