An Excellent Afternoon Tea – 06/06/19

On the 6th of June, Club 50+ and Treat Street Cafe hosted their first afternoon tea at The Haven Community Hub, 138-140 Hamlet Court Road.

Over 30 older people from across Southend attended, some members of the club already, some completely new faces. Our very own development manager, Claire, provided music from across the decades on her ukulele as the girls from the cafe served a mix of delicious cakes, sandwiches and chocolate covered strawberries.

It was lovely to see The Haven buzzing with chatter and music and the afternoon went so well we have decided to host another tea on the 8th of July from 3.30pm to 5.30pm. Tickets will be £8 and will once again include a lucious afternoon tea and entertainment.
