Like many charities, we use websites like Virgin Money Giving to provide a safe and simple way to give online.
Virgin Money Giving don’t make a profit from what they do, but they do need to charge us a small 2% fee to provide this service. There is a option to help us even further by adding 2% to your donation and covering this fee for us.
You can make a donation by sending us a cheque made payable to:
AGE Concern Southend on Sea CIO, 134 Hamlet Court Road, Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex SS0 7LN
Even a small amount, when given regularly, can help us plan better, do more and reach even more older people across our community.
Contact us on 01702 345373 or email us email@example.com for more details.
Use Gift Aid and make your donation worth more.
For every pound you give us, we get an extra 25 pence from the Inland Revenue.
To qualify for Gift aid, what you pay in income tax or capital gains tax must be at least equal to the amount we will claim in the tax year.
Ask us for a Gift Aid form when you send in your donation or email us on firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also download the form here.
Making a will is an important step that will help to ensure that your loved ones are looked after when you are gone, but after you have taken care of your friends and family there may be a little left over that you choose to donate to a charity close to your heart.
A gift in your will can be as small as a pound or two or can be as big as your entire estate, that choice is entirely up to you and any gift is always incredibly appreciated by us here at Age Concern Southend.
Making a Will is one of the most important decisions you will ever make so be sure to talk to your family, friends or an independent professional when thinking about writing your will.
Wills are relatively straight forward but seeking professional advice from a will writer or solicitor means that you can feel safe in the knowledge that your will is legally sound and that it does exactly what it is supposed to.
If you choose to leave a gift to your favoured charity in your will you will need to make a note of their charity name, address and registered charity number to give to your professional advisor.
In the case of our charity our these details would be as follows:
Age Concern Southend on Sea CIO
Registered charity number: 1160916
134 Hamlet Court Road, Westcliff, Essex ,SS0 7LN
You can download our guide to leaving a gift in your will here or talk to our team on 01702 345373 for a no obligation, informal chat.
Age Concern Southend receives no funding from Age UK; we are a completely independent charity with no ties to national groups or charities.
Whatever and however you choose to donate, you can rest assured that your funds will be used to improve the lives of older people in our community.
