Legacy donation funds next stage of The Haven

Thanks to the kind support from a local gentleman who has sadly passed away, Age Concern Southend will be undertaking the next stage of building work at our new community hub.

Our supporter gifted us a total of £101,190.35 in his will. As a result of this donation we can continue with building works to the ground floor of The Haven Older People’s Community Hub as this donation takes the total raised to £263,666.

We still need to raise another £186,000 to complete restorations and renovations at our beautiful, grade II listed building on Hamlet Court Road, Westcliff. The completion of the community hub will help to ensure the charity’s future for many years to come.
