Learn More

We offer a variety of support, advice and services at Age Concern Southend including:

Befriending

Our befriending service is open to any over 60’s who may feel isolated or lonely or do not see anyone on a regular basis due to health or mobility issues. Our team of over 100 befriending volunteers are matched with older people in their area and will visit their befriending once a week to have a chat, maybe a cup of tea or two and get to know each other.

This service is also offered as a telephone service. Both options are free of charge.

To refer yourself or someone you know (please make sure you have their permission before referring someone else), please contact Sam Crump on 01702 345373
